Sipdroid 2.2 incorporates three main changes:

Gingerbread compatibility
A few changes have been made to accommodate Gingerbread. Unfortunately RTSP video playback has an issue under Android 2.3.3. Currently Sipdroid can only send but not receive video under Gingerbread.

VideoSMS
VideoSMS feature can optionally be registered to interexchange HD video messages. What was almost impossible with email applications becomes as easy as swiping the camera shutter button to the right. Similarly to dialing phone calls, exchanging videos has been fully integrated into the look & feel of Android e.g. for forwarding existing videos or sending new ones to contacts' email.

Creation of PBXes accounts
The "Create Free Account" button had to be temporarily removed, until more capacity is added to the PBXes platform planned for May 2011. However, it is still possible to create free accounts manually at the PBXes website. Adding Google™ Voice trunks requires a paid account at this time. Existing users are not affected by the change.

For Google™ Voice users, Sipdroid can now create a new, free PBXes account that is automatically linked to an existing Google™ Voice account. The new feature requires Android 2.0, or above, and Google's app connected to your Voice account.

For optimal standby/compatibility register with pbxes.org and your trunks from there. Basic accounts are free. Premium accounts allow additional features such as streaming live video while calling a regular phone.
