[Wing] OpenWRT - Kamikaze or BackFire? Rolling your own?

Hi,

The WING web pages say use OpenWRT Kamikaze but there is a WING package in OpenWRT BackFire 10.3.1 RC3

Can someone clarify - I assume that version of BackFire is OK for WING?

 

Any advice of creating your own OpenWRT firmware with WING in it?  Like what version or type of Linux to use on a regular PC?  Any 'gotchas' to watch out for?
